George Weston – Founded in 1910
Proud supporters of Australian Industry
George Weston and Sons has been a proud supplier to the Australian Manufacturing and Engineering industries for over 100 years.
The Business was founded in 1910 by Mr. George Weston and remained with the Weston family until 1988, at which point the company was purchased by John and Dell Maxwell. Originally located in Charlotte Street in Brisbane’s CBD, the business was relocated to West End, then Murarrie and now located at Carole Park. In May 2017, John and Dell decided to sell the business. George Weston and Sons continues to be one of Australia’s leading non ferrous metal suppliers specialising in all types of copper based alloys under the directorship of Marcus McAuliffe & James Moutafis.
Our focus is on customer service and a large commitment to stock holdings and stock range. Our staff are customer service oriented and have extensive knowledge on all of our product range. Where we can not answer your technical enquiries immediately, we have access to the manufactures’ product information and will endeavour to answer your queries within a suitable time frame.
To ensure George Weston and Sons can continue to offer the excellent service it is noted for, we have forged strong relationships with our suppliers, both local and overseas. Our choice of suppliers is made firstly on the quality of product before taking into account other important factors such as service, accountability and pricing.
As always, since the conception of George Weston and Sons, we still offer an extensive cutting service to our client base. Nearly every product line can be offered cut to length or shape required dependent upon limitations.
In addition to our normal cutting service offered to our customers, we have recently acquired a new, fully automated twelve inch band saw. As such we are now able to extend our service to our customer base and offer repetition cutting in certain areas.
